Small Habits - Big Changes

As humans, we are very predictable. Habits are the way we act when we are being predictable. When we act without thinking.

We all have habits that are a part of our fabric, things that are essentially who we are, they will never change, or so we think. What if they're not? What if its just repetition and learning from others that got you there? Would you change them into something better if you could? Do you want to be more YOU, and BETTER at the same time?

If you are like me and would like to see big changes in your life, but feel that you wouldn't know where to start. This is where you can get helpful advice, no matter what the change. Let me introduce myself.

I am a passionate person, easily distracted, get too serious sometimes, but really like to be silly and have fun when my guard is down. I am just like you, with parts of myself I hate, and parts I love. I have 2 silly beautiful clever serious girls, and a husband who is all of the above and more besides.

I am interested in fear, adventure, how we think, mentoring, self discovery, why things happen, and trying new things.

I have a lot of bad habits, I yell, I am easily distracted, I crack my knuckles, I talk too much, I am addicted to sugar, I eat a lot of bread, I don't exercise.

These make my life harder than it needs to be. I don't accept they are part of who I am. I know what I want, and it has helped me make some small but significant changes.

These include decreasing my dependence on bread, eating more seeds/nuts, eating oatmeal for breakfast, mindfulness, tracking and scheduling, starting a business, feeling the fear and doing it anyway and dreaming! Yes I dream and think about what I really want. This is key and made the other stuff possible. Now I do it without thinking. They really are HABITS and? I'm just getting started.

The surprising part is that they have improved my life in the last year more than anything else I have tried over the course of the other 31 years of my life trying to be better, because they are GENUINE habits. I am replacing bad habits with good ones. I know how. I am happy.

I used to believe everything has to be done now. I set myself up to fail and I failed all the time!

I now take one day at a time. My new habits are getting me great progress in all areas of my life and I am satisfied with my progress, I feel good about myself. Its a great feeling.

You don't have to 'be' something else, someone else, look like others to fit in.

I struggled for years with fitting in (anyone who knows me will tell you this is true). I have learned this lesson the HARD way. The only way to fit in with people is to find a way to be your best self and find your tribe. Living in your integrity is key to this, be true to you (if you don't know how stay tuned!).

1 now HABITUALLY put thought into my image. Dismissing it as something 'I'm not good at' was my bad habit, this has changed. This is a process.

I now work on casting an image as a reflection of me, not what others WANT me to be. Don't change for others. I am now more accepted for being myself than I ever was by changing to fit in.

Enough about me. How about you? How would you describe your challenges? What are your bad habits? Do you know what your ideal circumstances even look like? Do you dare to dream? Do you dare to print this image and fill it in?

Imagine your dreams in the space above. Give it 30 seconds. Seriously do it!

This is the right place for you if you want these to come true. Only you can do it, only you can live your life, feel better about yourself, and make HUGE change, with small but immensely powerful habits for the better, step by step.

This is where I help you. It is where my thoughts reside perpetually (I think about it ALL the time!) I get so much out of it and I want to share this feeling. This is where I continue MY journey and create accountability for myself too as I go on the same journey as you. So come with me if you want to LIVE.
